Use Mila, LLC ("Mila," "we," "us," or "our") operates usemila.io. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Mila, you agree to the practices described here.
When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider, Clerk. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe — we never store your credit card details.
If you connect an email platform (Kit, Flodesk, MailerLite, or ActiveCampaign), Mila receives subscriber email addresses and tag events from that platform in order to start personalized countdown timers. This data is used solely to operate your campaigns and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Mila logs timer views, link clicks, and trigger events associated with your campaigns. Subscriber timer records (email address, start time, expiry time) are stored to ensure countdown deadlines remain consistent across devices.
We collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs. This data is used to diagnose issues and understand how Mila is used.
We do not sell your data or your subscribers' data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Mila uses the following third-party services to operate:
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g., Stripe billing records).
Subscriber timer records (email, start/expiry timestamps) are retained for the lifetime of the associated campaign and deleted when you delete the campaign or your account.
Mila uses cookies and local storage to maintain your login session and to keep subscribers on the correct variant in split tests. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@usemila.io.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side session storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Mila is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of Mila after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
